Beer issue
Over the years I have spent in the thousands at BevMo. Around 6 weeks ago I bought a 12 torpedo Sierra Nevada bottle IPA.
I had friends over who drank 8 of them. I opened a bottle from the 12 pack for first time and it tasted weird. I looked on the bottle and it had package date of 7/19/23. I researched it and beer is good for 120 days.
I called the store in Corona at the crossings on Tuscany. The manager told me I must have the receipt and return all the bottles. I told him this was 6 weeks ago. I dont have receipt now.
I said I still have 4 bottle I can bring and show you He said it was standard to have a package like that on the shelf. I couldnt believe the *** he was putting on me for a 20 dollar item. I am long time customer. I have no receipt.
He acted as though I was trying to rip him off.
I told him you just lost a long time customer. I dont need to go through all this crap.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
I was in the store this evening with my grandson and the cashier rang up my items and he made an error, by the way he was a very nice gentleman I believe his name was Ryan. After I had entered my card for payment, he realized that he had made an error and had charged me for 33 items instead of only 3 for one of my items. I wasnt paying much attention until he realized he had made an error, now this is where my complaint starts. He had to call who I believed to be a manager, possibly a supervisor to correct the error and do a refund.
This manager/supervisor, whos name tag said Herman, was soooo rude to both the cashier, myself and my grandson. He should seriously lose his job!!! I have worked in customer service for many years, and I have never ever experienced Someone who is in a supervisor position be so rude, first of all to an employee who is obviously under him, and to a customer. Maybe the cashier Ryan should be in that supervisory position instead of Herman, because Ryan was a very polite, very courteous and a very kind person, and he didnt deserve the treatment that Herman gave him.
I dont know why this cashier Ryan would even stay there and work under someone like that except that maybe he sincerely needs his job. Contact me if you would like because I would sure love to talk to someone about Hermans attitude!!!

I have tried to call the corporate number to speak with a representative in full but when you call, you get an automated response to just email them. So i have emailed now 3 TIMES and still have no got one rep.
reply back. I keep getting the automatic robot reply from my complaint but never a rep. I purchased 2 (non-alcoholic) margarita fruit mixes, margarita salt and one bottle of wine on 11/22/23 from my local Lakewood, CA store. A few minutes after i ordered, i got a text stating that the wine is out of stock and i will be provided with a refund immediately within 2-5 business days.
It has now been 3 weeks and have not got a refund or even a email reply back to my 3 emails sent regarding this issue. I just want my refund for the product your store did not have in stock and did not deliver.

I have not visited Bevmo in a while but wanted to pick something up that they had in stock. I don't normally shop that area so it was out of my way.
After checking the hours online I made sure to arrive and purchase in plenty of time before closing. When I walked up to the door a young women was standing at the entrance with the doors partially closed. After she dealt with two pick up orders ahead of me I expected to enter the store but she didn't move from the doorway.
I asked "Are you closed?"
She answered, "Yes."
"But the website says you don't close until 10pm."
"We are short-staffed," and with that poor excuse, she closed the doors and walked away leaving me wondering why I, a paying customer, should pay the price for the company's problems.
The first lesson I learned in business is not to make others pay for your mistakes. Obviously not an idea this employee held near to her heart.
I haven't visited Bevmo in a while, and now I'm not likely to ever visit again.

We went to your 3900 sisk road store in Modesto California to purchase beer, wine and water for my father in laws funeral. My wife asked a clerk if we could return any overages and was told no problem as long as the liquor was unopened, so we purchased more than we needed but when we tried to return the beer and wine today we were told according to state law they couldnt accept returns, contrary to what we were told.
I could not find where california law stated this but if true we should a least get a BevMo gift card equal to the return. I would appreciate your attention to this matter and rectify this issue.

Although it isn't possible for us to accept returns in the case of overpurchase, it sounds as though you may have received conflicting information from one of the associates. Are you able to provide the name or description of the associate that you and your wife had spoken with on the day of the purchase? If you can provide that information, it would be helpful for our management team if they need to review this for you.
To offer the best resolution in this case, Id like to have our District Manager connect with you directly. Please let me know if youd prefer follow up via phone or email, and the best number/email address to use when reaching out.
If you would prefer not to receive additional follow up, I can assure you that I will still share the feedback with the management team for our Modesto store.

Explanation for changes in product offerings and commitment to coach particular location on service levels. Seems fair!.
BevMo reps contacted me immediately and explained their rationale for expanding their product offerings to include some food stuffs and toilet paper: now they can offer home delivery. Not of value to me, but their business decision to make.
I appreciated their sincerity and timeliness. They did say they would reach out to the particular store where I shopped and see about the service levels.
Preferred solution: Just want you to rethink the groceries idea. (Not a good one!) And hire more people. There used to be plenty.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and have been craving Vernor's ginger ale (which also really helps with nausea). My husband and I went to safeway across the street but they didn't have any so we stopped at Bevmo.
They were all out of Vernor's so I decided to get a 2L of sprite. I forgot my wallet at home (pregnancy brain) so my husband offered to pay for it. My husband is 27 and I'm 26 and we walked up to the register with a bottle of sprite. The cashier asked for both of our ids.
I said "we have a non-alcoholic product." And he said it didn't matter, anyone that appears under 40 must have an ID checked no matter what the product is. I told him that I didn't have my ID and he said "well then I can't sell anything to you" as he took the products away. My husband accidentally blurted out "well that is BS" because he was so shocked that we weren't being allowed to purchase SPRITE. The cashier got on his radio and called for assistance.
My husband is usually a very calm and reasonable person and apologized to me profusely once we got to the car because he really didn't intend to say anything like that to the cashier but we were both so shocked by this policy. Very humiliating experience.

There seems to be NO WAY to contact the shipping company to speak to a person that CAN ACTUALLY HELP ME!!!SAME FOR BEVMO...THEY HAVE ALL INSULATED THEMSELVES FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS, SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH COMPLAINTS!!THIS SUCH BS!!!
